i just keep singing songs i know by heart because it makes it so i don't hear the ringing and i have to think about the ringing.i hear ringing in my ears ALL the time!

Are you taking medications for this cold? Some medications have toxic side effects like ringing in your ears. It means you're taking too much medication. It could also be the ear infection itself. Please ask your doctor about this, it could be serious.

put a little bit of Olive oil in your ears. that should help

Hey it's very serious matter, meet ear specialist..... hurry

It's called tinnitus.
The only way I know of is waiting it out.
I used to get terrible ear infections when I was little, to the point where i went deaf in one ear. Had surgery. Wasn't pretty. But now I'm all better. lol
but, yeah.
I know what you're going through.
I always waited them through.
I would listen to music a lot, and it helped.
And popping my ears would help temporarily.

Hope I helped :)

from the sounds of you what you need to do is this... have a friend ( if you have any) or family member look closely into your left ear and this is most important.. use a flashlight and gauge the brightness from the other side... lol
