I tore my hamstring late last year at a party doing some air guitar ( stop laughing!!).
I was limping pathetically for about 10 days.
It came up in a giant bruise down the back of my leg and remained that way for a couple of weeks.
I tried jogging about a month later and it was still no good.
It took about 6 to 8 weeks, from memory, to heal enough to be able to run etc...
