Answers: How and why do people get it.

Everybody produces mutant cancer cells every day. These cells act independently of the normal controls on cell reproduction. Fortunately the immune system recognises that they are faulty and most of them are picked up and destroyed, treated as foreign material in the same way as 'alien' bacteria and viruses. It is the ones that get missed and have a chance to replicate that cause the Cancers. We are very efficient or there would be many more cancers! radiation, UV and radioactivity and exposure to toxins such as tobacco tar, increase the number of mutations and thus increase the risk that a cancer cell will be missed.

its a really bad disease thts all i knw abt it
bt i wud lik to explore mre

it's a tumour that is malignant.
everbody has the cancer cell in there body, it's just whether its released or not.what brainless knob jockeys keep giving thumbs down on an answer that is correct.

Cancer is when cells' DNA mutates and they replicate uncontrollably, and the body's cells are unable to perform the normal processes that would destroy the cells.
So to get it people must have both damage to a cell's DNA to lead it to replicate faster, and damage to oncogenes and tumour-suppressor cells that prevents them from successfully destroying the mutant cells.

I think it's related with lifestyle and genes. you can prevent of getting cancer by living a good lifestyle and routine medical check up if you have the genes.

can
