Is loose tobacco really any less harmful than cigarettes?!

Question: My friends started rolling their own cigarettes to save money, but they also said that the loose tobacco doesn't have all the harmful chemicals in it. Is that true?

no its just the same,i hope they are using filters in there rollies as they can be really strong without and of course more tar is inhaled

No, if its from a tobacco company, you can bet its still pumped full o' chemically goodness.

It is mainly the chemicals that are in the paper that keeps a tailor made burning is apparently the only difference. look at the rings that run the length of a smoke. Sulpher i have been told but probably not correct. Roll ur own tobacco is still dried and processed the same i believe. Its still a killer though!!

No. Its the same thing. Its probably worse if they are rolling their own and not using a filter.
