Can I raise my body temperature?!

Question: I have suffered from Anxiety Disorders since I was very little and I am now 19. This is because My brain does not produce enough Serotonin. Recently I have learned to raise my body temperature a little bit by doing something I cant understand, like a reflex almost.

Is this because Serotonin helps regulate body temperature and I am learning to control it?

Well, I don't know any of that medical stuff but I'm 17 and suffer from Anxiety disorder and Severe Panic Disorder which has led me to hospitalization. Some of the best things to do (besides Adivan) is to take Vitamin B12. Serotonin can strongly effect both mood and appetite, so it's important to take multivitamins and flax seed oil.

I would suggest not raising your body temperature because it doesn't always help and can lead you to more anxiety... UNLESS it is by exercise which is a healthier way to get your heart going and your temperature up.

I hope this helps!

Usually it's cos you are stressing and it's a normal reaction... just like blood pressure increases when you get stresses, anxious, nervous and so forth.

Exercise ~ which raises body temperature ~ is a natural way to have the body release endorphins . . . sertonin being one.

I don't think you can really control brain chemistry like an on/off switch like you're describing. Exercise both increases body temperature and serotonin/endorphins, though...that would probably be the trick.

Exercise is the best way.

stick a penny underneath your tongue and your temp will go up.
