I blush..Alot?!

Question: I'm 14 and i blush at absolutly everything basicly. I find it hard to talk to people and because of this, i am very shy. I don't want my life to be like this anymore. I get up every day dreading school, just in case i blush

I've read that this will happen for my whole life. And to be honest, if this is what my life is going to be like, i want to go jump off something very high.

Blushing doesn't make you unattractive, though, obviously, at your age, one is acutely self-conscious so it can make you miserable. Console yourself with the thought that, for most people, it definitely subsides as you get older. My friend used to blush like anything when we were at school together but not at all now.

If you look at pics of Princess Diana, you'll see she flushed a lot as a young girl but never in the later pics. No-one found blushing unattractive in HER.

Try to develop a philosophical attitude about it - 'So, I'm blushing? So what? It's perfectly natural, not unattractive and it'll pass'.

If you get to adult age and it still troubles you to the same extent, there's a minor op you can get done on NHS to stop it. However, much better to find a way to accommodate it (old hippy proverb: what doesn't break us makes us strong) and grow out of it in your own time.

blushing is not the end of the world. its pretty cute actually.

first of all dont jump off of anything... youre to beautiful to do something that stupid. blushing is just blood rushing to your cheeks no need to worry. does that help any?

is that you? youre pretty :)
dont fret. i feel like my chin is huge. like everytime i smile it sticks out. =( im trying to forget about it

people do it a lot when there embraced just don't let people embraces you can do this by just think you think about what people think about you more than they think about it.

you know what, that is a small problem in the scheme of things. please try to get your priorities together. i know when you're a teen everything seems dramatic. i remember. but please try to put this in it's proper place and don't obsess over it. yes it is embarrassing. but maybe you can find the strength to laugh at yourself.

I'm old enough to be your dad and I'm plagued with the same problem. Once I was out of my teens, the situation improved a lot, but it still happens with certain people. This has not affected my ability to find a relationship or to function well in the world and you'll be o.k., too. In fact, many people find it charmingly old fashioned. If it's a HUGE issue for you, maybe your folks can have you talk with a counselor- there might be some mind tricks you can play on yourself to avoid blushing. Also, maybe put "shyness help" or something like that into a search engine. You might find some good ideas there. Adolescence is just hard. Take care...

Lol. I have the same problem! Whenever i even get called on to talk in class i blush. And i hate it. I have recently started to stop though. And the way i did it was by pushing myself not to be shy and to actually raise my hand. I have no problem when i am with my friends but its usually just at school. But yeah try and push yourself to get rid of the shyness. It worked for me:)

do you know that blushing actually means that you are warm and loving person, you feel for others heartfelt problems and you may even have a spirit guide trying to communicate with you. Dont jump its not worth it, plus something deep down tells me that someone is trying to get throught to you, go and see a medium and see if they can delve a little deeper. Blushing can be very spiritual as well as loving, angst and fondness.

You're not the only one!!! I also went 'through' this and understand completely-believe me,you WILL grow out of it!!

Come to think of it I had a week off school with depression because of it but couldn't tell my mum why I was depressed.

I blush if someone even looks at me. And when I realize that I am blushing, I blush even more! It is embarrassing sometimes. I do get comments from people on how they wish they could have cheeks that are nice and rosy like mine. I always wished that they weren't always red. We always want what we can't have. You are a beautiful girl and don't get upset because you can't control the colour of your cheeks. Just remember that there are people out there who are envious for your ability to blush. Oohhh! I am blushing just by talking about blushing. :) Have a nice day.

it is not as embarrassing as you think it is. and so what that someone notices. even if they say some stupid remark like "oh you've gone red", at the end of the day they don't care. no one cares. don't stress over it. even lady Di blushed and it was nice.

Honestly, blushing isn't that bad! Most guys even think it's cute! :]

When I blush (and I don't like it), I just tell myself to relax and take deep breaths, which usually calms me down!

i used to blush a lot when I was younger just like you, but as I got older it more or less stopped, I'm in my forties now and I still blush occasionally. Don't let it worry you it will get better as you get older.
