"Fatal" heart rates are not specific since certain heart rhythms can be deadly and are not related to how fast the heart is going. However if you are a healthy young teen just sitting and resting 120 is high. If you are nervous, stressed, or take certain medications or drugs that may be the cause. One episode of having a rapid heart rate without any other symptoms is not a reason to worry. If this is a chronic thing, or you have shortness of breath or pain when it occurs then get it checked. As far as 160 heart rate with excerise, that's within normal limits, no worries there.
