How to heal a sore throat?!

Question: I've had the flu shot and use hand sanitizers and wash my hands constantly. My friend had the flu, and my throat has been hurting, I had surgery on my tonsails (sp)? so it can't be strep throat. I really don't like cough drops.

Honey is always good and so is lemon. Try drinking some honey and lemon tea. I had a ear nose throat specialist tell me once to gargle with hydrogen peroxide.

Just put a capful of hydrogen peroxide in luke warm water and gargle.

If you do not mind the taste of ginger, then cut a piece of ginger root, crush it to open it up and place in a pot of boiling water. Allow to boil until water turns golden. Strain solution, add a teaspoon of honey.

This tea immensely soothes the throat without drug's side effects.

My ENT doctor told me this once after my tonsillectomy. (Ok I unfort. I Forget exact amount but it doesn't matter) Fill about a fourth of a glass or plastic cup with lukewarm water...(like I said if you put more water in it doesn't matter) and you know those benadryl capsules?? Get those and you can take the capsules apart and let the powder fall into the water you need 2 of them. Stir it up and gargle that Solution until it is gone. He said and I quote "you will think it's the best thing since sliced bread" I haven't had a sore throat since my surgery so I haven't tried it. So I hope it works!! Good Luck

Swab your throat around the hangy down thing with a Qtip cotton swab dipped in Mercurochrome, (the red stuff you put on a cut and surgeons swab an area with). If you are careful you can keep it off your tongue. Works well, works fast.

Gargle with warm salt water, then heat up some honey in a pan, squeeze half a lemon into it, and warm it till it gets thin. Drink it-it'll soothe your throat right away.
