I've had insomnia for three weeks and am now desperate!?!

Question: I had an episode lasting 6 weeks last year, have it back again now, having lasted for 3 weeks so far. I've been tested for hyperthyroidism as apparently insomnia is related to this sometimes. (awaiting results at present) I've been losing my hair and am constantly hungry. I do quite a bit of exercise and have now been told that too much exercise can make cause insomnia. Has anyone had similar experience of this and if so, if there was no medical reason for it, what did you do? I have Zoplicone prescribed to me from last year but when I take it, I feel like crap the next day, like a hangover. I can't go on like this for much longer, it's killing me ! Two and a half hours sleep last night. HELP!!!!

Yes,you have mentioned some symptoms and signs of hyperthyroidism. If it proves to be affecting you, then your doctor will prescribe medications to relieve the signs.
If Zoplicone brings about so many side effects, you should discontinue taking it.
