Can blind people experience sight through hallucinogens?!
Question: If a blind person was to take a drug that causes hallucinatins such as LSD, would they beable to have an auditory AND visual hallucination? - I've just always wondered :P Thanks for your answers.

Here is an answer to a similar question on wether or not blind people can see in their dreams. I imagine this would apply to hallucinogens as well
There are two categories of blind people
(1). Who are blind by birth : These people do not see colors in their dream. Their dreams include only noises and emotions.
(2). Who became blind due to any happening in life: These people see colors in their dreams but the intensity of the colors is associated with the time when they last saw the colors before becoming blind.
Good question...and if they did, what would they see?
probably not, as long as they've been blind their whole life. the mind can't hallucinate something it's never experienced.
Here is my thought on the subject:
Hallucinogens have been around for a long time. If they could offer sight to the blind, then such experiences would probably be known. I've heard of nothing.
I would think that hallucinogens would not necessary, afterall, we all have the gift of dreams. While dreaming, our minds can creatively do just about anything, and put us in all sorts of situations. I would suspect that if one were to listen to a good audio book, that one might dream about the story, and thus realize the vivid descriptions as if one were actually part of the story.
i have always wondered kinda the same thing just like can deaf people hear in their dreams
