Just got my tonsils out...?!

Question: I'm 17 and I was just wondering if my voice will change somewhat. I know I will sound less nasally, but will it increase or decrease in pitch? I love to sing and I don't want a girly voice here. My voice sounds a little higher pitched at the moment, but I JUST got them out yesterday and I can't talk at full volume, so I would imagine it would not be as deep. How long until my voice returns, and will it be the same?

YOU are going to be JUST fine! Your voice will NOT change pitch. Honey,....you would have hadto get your testicles removed fo rthat to happen! Wait about 6 weeks to be 100 % healed!

Your lucky mine where taken out when i was 32..and they no longer give ice cream so i had a jacket potato instead Report It

  • Your voice will be back to normal in no time! Just do take it easy though, don't do any singing just yet - give that throat time to heal! I had mine out at 21 and I wasn't even talking for several days as it was so painful! Pudding and ice cream - eat lots of pudding and ice cream. I don't feel your voice will change in any way, mine did not.

    ouch! did it hurt

don't worry i got my tonsils out when i was 5..

    i didn't lose my voice.

Did you eat your ice cream??/
