Sore on tonsils?!
Question: I've got a sore on my right tonsil; it looks red and pus-y.
I get these frequently(once a month or so), generally one tonsil at a time.
The sores cause a sharp pain when I swollow, speak, drink, etc, but that is about it. I don't feel particularly bad, and I don't think I'm sick or ill in any way.
Does anyone know what this might be?

Probably a tonsil stone. That means your tonsils are doing there job, by filtering out infection. The stone is the infection encapsulated by the tonsil stone, which is usually coughed out eventullly.
If that is not the case, get it checked out by your DR.
probably a vial infection (spelling?) I had the same problem last year and it hurts like heck! What helped me is some herbal tea with lemon and sugar, if not do salt and lemon and suck the lemon it's nasty but it help get all that gunk from the tonsil. If not try a little tequila mixed with lemon and bee honey (I don't drink! it's my dad's remedy for sore tonsils..I know wierd)it works everytime! If not just try drinking warm beverages...can't be hot nor cold just warm. Hoped I helped =]

sounds like an infection if you are getting it regular you may benifit from antibiotics,gargle with salt water regular about 3 times a day it kills all the bacteria always rid of mine if it dosnt help go to see you doctor and let him check it out
