Need help with black stools???!!!!?!
Question: Yeah k soo today i went poopy and i saw that my stool was like really really dark brown i dont know if its blood or not so can anyone give me a link to a good black stool picture so i can make sure and any suggestions on what i should eat drink and what not and should i take some rolaids or somthing?

The color could be due to something that you ate. If you have black stools for several days in a row, and are not a blood-drinking vampire, then you should be concerned. Water is good to drink, but if you are having digestive tract bleeding, neither water nor rolaids will really help you.
I could not find an image, but the term that is often used is "tarry stools." They are dark, like if you have ever seen coyote poop on the side of a trail. It is BLACK, not brown! This is because carnivores eat animals whole, blood and all. Blood in the GI tract turns black as it is processed.
Fear not, blood turns stools a pinky shade, iron tablets can make your stools almost jet black. I wouldn't worry its probably something you ate.
If you took any type of medication like Pepto-Bismol it will turn stool black. That is normal. If you are not taking any medications or have eaten a lot of dark red or dark brown foods keep an eye on it. Otherwise it could be blood. Just relax and think of all the foods you have eaten in the last 3 days; also any medications whether prescription or over-the-counter. Continue drinking a lot of water. Staying hydrated is the best thing you can do for yourself! Good luck.
