StOp SmOkInG HeLp?!


Question: OK im 18 and have smoked a pack a day for the past 2 years. and before and about half a pack a day for a year before that.

Basically im in a situation where i want to quit smoking, but im just around it all the time with majority of my friends and when i have tried to quiet in the past and i smell smoke it smells like the sweetest candy.and then i say well maybe 1 wont hurt.

How did you quiet?Do you know what im talking about with the candy smoke smell?

O.K. You smoked for over 2 years; I smoked for 50 years. Once I really decided that I wanted to quit, I simply stopped. For the first two weeks I kept a pack of cigarettes, a lighter and an ashtray at my place at the table. Whenever i wanted a cigarette, which was often, I asked myself who was stronger, this little white stick or I. Then I refused to ppick it up. There are still times I want one, but I refuse to let a piece of inanimate matter be stronger than I. Good luck!

The easyest way is to just drop it and stop when ever you catch yourself. It helped me....like i took a couple trys, though I did it!


I must say, you will still have the urge to smoke for like a couple months, though...you will eventually be able to control it kinda.

Like if you havent had a smoke for a week and you are really urging, take one, though like try to minimize as much as possible, or just try not to do it as much as you can.

Throw then away and try something new(not a new brand of cigerets)

Sleep in a public park and hope you get arrested. Then, deny to pay your bill and stay in jail for 30 days. Automatic detox.

Sew your mouth closed....

well, I have never been a smoker, but a good way to try and quit is to educate your self on how bad and gross smoking really is. When you feel the urge to smoke, just look at pictures of gross things that happen to your body when you smoke, and think of all the thousands of disgusting chemicals and crap that go into it. All you need is determination, without it you will never succeed!

look buddy, the easiest way not to smoke, IS BY SIMPLY NOT HAVING A SMOKE IN YOUR HAND!!!!!!!!! you say youre around people that smoke all the time, when ever you feel the need to smoke just remember that if you dont put a ciggarette in your hand you wont smoke. now it may be hard at first, but its not imppossible, you just have to stick to it, good luck
