After ALL it really ends................?!

Question: What can we say to someone who has 6/8 months left to live? How can we give some relief to someone who doesn't have a faith, a religion, a belief?
If that person is too scared to face the end of all, if she/he is terrified with the fact that she/he is leaving loved ones behind. Are there any words? I mean, is there any way of giving some "light" to someone who is living her last days in a complete, dark, hedious black out?
What if we don't believe either? How can we fake some hope?
Please, anyone who can help... I really need some ideas.
Thanks. :)

I would ask that person about what the best moments of their life has been. Get them laughing, reliving them. Who knows, they may wish to do some of them again. If you have been given only several months to live, it's hard to see any hope, but the best thing you could do for them is to not dwell on the negative, but rather on things that will give energy.

If she can afford it, there is a product that is remarkable for elevating moods, called the happy berry in Tibet. Here's a link:

P.S. Just because a doctor may have given her a certain time-frame to live, does not mean that will be true for her. You can read about all sorts of people who were "fighters" and proved the docs wrong. The body heals itself of many horrible conditions if it is given the correct components, hope, laughter, fresh air, sunshine, nutrition, exercise and the will to live. The body follows the mind.

Hope this helps some!

Start talking to them about God

You can't fake hope, you can't force your religious beliefs on this person. Try respecting the person and be there for anything he/she needs. This person doesn't have hope if they are going to die, let him/her do what ever they want and feel what ever they want.

Good question. I too fear the complete 'nothing' that awaits me after death. It is the only reason I am still alive.

I think the best thing to do is to let them know that they've made their mark on the world. Let them know of all of the people's lives they've touched. Tell them how they've changed the world for the better.
Give examples of people whose lives they've changed.
Whose lives would be so different if they weren't around.

I wouldn't say anything about 'heaven' or anything like that if they aren't religious. I know I would get really mad if someone said something like that to me...or if they said "Don't worry, you're going with God".

Just let them know that they've left their mark. That's what I would want to hear. They've left their mark on the world and that will live on forever.

Death is not the end of life. It is merely cessation of an important individuality. Life flows on to achieve its conquest of the universal; life flows on till it merges in the Eternal.

Soul is spirit. It is immaterial. It is intelligence or consciousness. It is this individual soul that departs from the body after its death and goes to heaven, with the senses, mind, impressions, desires and tendencies. It is endowed with a subtle astral body when it proceeds to heaven.

When the water in the lake is absorbed, the reflection of, the Sun in the water merges in the Sun itself. Even so, when the mind is annihilated through meditation, the individual soul merges itself in the Supreme Soul . This is the goal of life.

The individual soul has become impure through cravings, desires, egoism, pride, greed, lust and likes and dislikes. Hence it is finite , it is endowed with limited knowledge ( and limited power . The Supreme Soul is Infinite, Omniscient and Omnipotent. It is an embodiment of knowledge and bliss.

A dead body cannot speak, cannot walk, cannot see. It remains like a log of wood after the soul has departed from the body. It is the soul that enlivens, galvanises, moves and directs the body, mind and the senses.

Purify your mind. Steady it. Fix the mind on the Supreme Soul. Meditate and realise your essential divine nature. You will be freed from the wheel of births and deaths. You will attain eternal bliss and immortality.

Pray for them. Ask God to give you the wisdom and the words to speak to them. Share salvation scriptures with them. Gods Word will not come back void.
