I need help in supporting why health research should be continued in all fields!!

well, i just wanted to say that, so i should prob answer your question.
ok, so
let's say that they stop all research on these other areas and just study one health issue or something, and then that one iss goes extinct, and the research was pointless, and now they're far behind on researching another topic, and more and more issues are coming up that have never been heard of before, and they need to research them, but they can't cause they're so behind on researching other stuff that's more important?
