How prevalent is fingernail biting among the adult population?!

Question: Seems like 1 in 4 people I know are fingernail biters. My mother was so bad she had to get treatment and nothing worked.

there are products out there to help deter nail biting other then that and persistence im not to sure

also it would be impossible to stop it among the entire adult population
