Can a human live without having an esophagus ?!

Question: im doing a scince project and ineed to know if you can live without your esophagus .

Technically a human can still live without an esophagus. The person would obviously not be able to eat by mouth but could have a feeding tube directly into the stomach.

Well, the esophagus is only for transportation. If you found some other way of getting food into the stomach, there would be no problem. (pre-mashed food only)
