Am i suffering from depression?!

Question: certain events have caused me to become excessively sad, sometimes i can hardly sleep, sometimes i can't stop sleeping, I've been losing my appetite, but I've also been over-eating some days. i have been crying a lot and i recently got sick (the cold), is it depression? note that i am a teen, so is it something else? like stress or puberty?

i have anxiety/depression extremely bad and everything you are going through ive been through. yes it SOUNDS like you have depression but the best way to find out is a doctor. dont be embarassed about it, you wouldnt believe how many people feel exactly like you or even worse. honestly its ok to cry, it helps to relieve feelings you hold inside. i would listen to music that calms you and makes you feel good when your depressed, i wouold find a hobby . for me its fishing and everytime i get overwelmed i just go fishing and it helps relax me. most importantly just know you not alone and its normal to feel this way. alot of us do and you could be much worse off.

well it really depends on the event...also as girls age their hormones flair which might make you more sensitive on some days

most likely puberty but if over the course of time nothing changes then you will know that you do have depression... real depression is something that doesn't leave over time...
