Does neone else find it extremely..?!

Question: Ok..Recently ive been trying to get myself into a good sleep pattern, after many years of the usual 15 hour sleep marathons i had as a teen lol
Ive been researching into how to get into a pattern...one thing i tried was to only go to bed when sleepy, not at a set time, and to have an alarm that wakes you up at the same time each morning.
So basically, instead of me saying to myself " Im going to bed at 11pm every night", Id only go when i got to the point i coouldnt keep my eyes open.

Well this didnt work for me, as i found myself going to bed a rndom times, sometimes as late as 3am, and the alarm goes off at 7.30am. This is meant to work, but hell does it!

Ne ideas on how to get-up easily without smashing snooze every 5 mins lol Yes, im probably lazy lol Ne1 else find it tough?

My god.
Waking up...is the devil. >_>
Honestly, my alarm goes off at 6.00, i hit snooze every 9 minutes until 6.54, roll off my bed (literally) with my blankets, crawl my way to the clock and try to turn it off for about a minute. (it's broken and it's ridiculously hard to turn it off)
then i stumble to the staircase and roll down.
I walk down, if i'm feeling especially energetic.
(The rolling doesn't hurt because i still have all my poofy quilts with me.)
Then i shower and run to catch the bus.
>_> ...did i get a bit off topic there?
But anyway, i go to bed at 9 on school nights because i'm ridiculous, and usually 11 on weekends.
You just have to set a ritual for bedtime and do it every night. an example: take a hot bath then read in a comfy chair for a set amount of time, then go to bed.
You should avoid the TV/computer an hour before bed, because your brain thinks the light is the sun and doesn't release the chemicals that make you sleep.
ALSOOOO.
If you have a bad mattress, get a new one.
You shouldn't be cheap when buying a mattress, but you don't need to get a really expensive one. You should go to a store that lets you try out a mattress for a few weeks, and pick out one you think you'll like and give it a test. if it's no good, try again.
YepYep. That's my advice.

What I do is turn the alarm up really loud, and set it as far away from the bed as possible...like, across the room. Then, I jump up and turn it off, and don't really feel like flopping back down.

Sleep schedules are inportant to our bodies biorythmns.

You should set a specific bed time and rise time. Then work to stay on it. Like taking your shower at night a couple of hours before bedtime.

Have a novel beside your bed and dont have a tv in the bedroom. Stop watching tv 1 hour befor you want to go to bed. Try listening to some laid back music.

Dont drink alcohol to get sleepy. Drink something warm like mild or cocoa. Cut out caffiene by 6pm each night if not eliminating it all together.

These help me as I am a night owl. But I find that if I try to stick to a specific schecule, over time I am much more productive and alert during the day.

Goodluck jackie

i find it tough too get out of bed when it first gose off also! i turn the tv on so that loud noise can help to get me up try having coffe pre set so it will make it up at 7:30 and when you go in to the kitchien you will already have it ready to drink and you will be much happyer! hope i helped!
