Ear piercing bleeding!!!!?!

Question: I peirced my ears almost 2 1/2 months ago and i just looked in the mirror and saw dry blood on my right ear piercing and it looks gooey in the hole. Does it sound infected? Should i take out my earring and clean it? Or should i keep it in there?

Don't take out the earring, cos if it closes over (it will do that quickly when you've just had it done) you'll go through everything again. After 2 1/2 months, you should be able to take it out, but cos it's bleeding, put some methylated spirits on both sides of the stud, twirl the stud around - this should get less and less painful, if at all. Keeping doing this 3 times daily until the possible infection clears up. Make sure you clean your hands before you do this, cos that could be infecting it. That goo in the hole is just cos piercing your ears is like any other cut - it has to heal. If the earring is out when it heals, the hole closes over. It might not be infected if it's just bleeding - my ears did that too.
Hope they get better soon! :)

this has happened to me before as well. it should be fine however it may be infected. i would suggest keeping the earring in first off, but pouring hydrogen peroxide on it 3-4 times a day. pour on the front and back of the piercing and turn the earring so it gets in the hole. just catch the excess with a towel and let it run off your ear or if you can pour some in the lid of the hydrogen peroxide and put the part of your ear with the piercing in there for a minute or so.

doing this is should clear up in a week or so. otherwise you may want to see your doctor.

take out your earring & clean your ear.
go see a doctor.
cuz you might have an infection.
