What are the damages of writing with a sharpie permanent marker all over your bo!

Question: My 16 year old daughter came home from a sleepover last night and someone had done some pretty detailed drawing in black sharpie marker. Besides it looking tacky and going to be hard to wash off (my opinion) Im trying to explain to her that it isnt good for her skin. What else are the damages it can cause?

Doing too much of it will cause skin cancer.

Sharpies are not good for your skin. Sometimes irritating rashes can occur too.

It also makes the skin wrinkled in a young age.

I would like to know that too. I'm 15 and I always doodle on my hands with pens and sharpies whenever I'm bored. Whether it's writing down assignments or just drawing hearts I do it when I'm bored at school.

I couldnt tell you that, but I can tell you how to get it off. Nail polish remover! It takes it off with no problem.

there arent permanent damages. and "permanent" marker comes off pretty quickly on skin. i heard you can get ink poisoning if it leaks into your blood stream. i'm pretty sure that isnt true, but just tell your daughter that you dont like the way it looks when there's writing on her body and would like it to stop. maybe buy her a pair of pants you would allow her to write on if the habbit sticks.
