How come when I try to make myself throw up....?!


Question: All that comes up is spit. Right after I eat, i have tried numerous times, to throw up, I stick my finger down my throat and keep gagging but all that comes up is spit. how do i get vomit?

Seriously don't do that. Because even if you lose the weight, its just going to come back, if not you'll be even heavier after.

It's not healthy, you'll have malnutrition, your breath will smell horribly, your teeth WILL rot you'll lose all your enamel and get lots of cavities, your voice will become hoarse, you'll have vitamin deficiencies, you could get osteoporosis, heart disease, you'll get various neurological problems, and eventually organs WILL FAIL.

Did I mention, once you start this habit, you won't stop. I've seen people that after so many times of throwing up after they eat, it just becomes automatic for their bodies. They no longer have to even stick their finger down their throat. It happens naturally after they eat. Then you'll look anorexic. You'll end up in a psychotic hospital, with IV's and tubes in your stomach so you can get some kind of nutrition. Not a pretty sight at all. And eventually you will die. People that are bulimic have a higher death rate. Don't be stupid.

It takes a lot of hard work to lose weight, but once you get in the habit of eating healthy, and exercising, you'll be happy! Just don't go down that route.

It isn't healthy to force yourself to vomit. Especially as a means to lose weight. If you do this, your body will eventually break down and you could lose your life. Not to mention, the acid from your vomit will ruin your esophagus, mouth and teeth. If you're looking to lose weight, the first step is just eating right...like eliminating junk food. Then try exercising a few times a week.

On the other hand, if you are sick and you feel the need to throw up, then it will just happen. You won't need to force yourself.

first of all.you HAVE to stop doing that. its not good for your health. you did not state why you did all these throwing up. anyway, there probaly are a few reasons, one, you feel not too good about yourself. two, you want to lose that spare tyre. and im sure theres many more, but still, even if you want to slim down, dude, commit yourself. commit to run three times a week,or even hit the gym. eat plenty of fruits. ease up on the snacks,which might be a hard thing, but make yourself commited.

First of all, I would NOT recommend doing that, because bulimia nervosa (VOMITING AFTER EATING, IN ORDER TO LOSE WEIGHT) can lead to health problems; such as lack of nutrient absorption (and that could effect your brain), rotting of your teeth due to the undetectable acid that is coming from your stomach and digestive tract, as well as lack of nutrients. If you want to lose weight, go to a dietitian/nutritionist and see which foods will facilitate in weight loss along with a good exercise regimen. Also, you should speak with a GOOD DOCTOR about your concerns with your weight. He/she should give you a physical before you start any exercise and diet plan, to make sure you don't have any current health problems or nutrient deficiencies (even IF YOU ARE over-weight, you may not be getting the proper nutrients your body needs), so you can start a good, BALANCED diet with a dietitian/nutritionist, as well as a good exercise regimen. Doing this, will DECREASE the chance of you getting a severe health condition, DOING IT THE STUPID WAY, THAT HAS BEEN PROVEN TO KILL PEOPLE OR MAKE THEM HAVE BODILY DAMAGE. If you think that I am just trying to scare you, ask a doctor if your behavior is healthy.

ive been bulimic for two years and it messes you up mentally like you just loose it seriously but the reason you cant puke is maybe because you dont have enough fluids,im bulimic but i dont have to stick my fingers down my throat now it just comes up naturally juast do it befor at least an hour or two or you wont loose any weight you make sure you drink alot i mean you drink before and after eating and make sure you sit for a few minutes and bend down and try forcing your food up without sticking your finger down, IM WARNING YOU YOU MIGHT NOT DIE BUT YOU WILL NEVER EVER BE THE SAME I MEAN EVER IT CHANGES YOUR LIFE AND YOU JUST GAIN IT BACK IN A FEW MONTHS ANYWAY PLEASE JUST EAT ALITTLE RATHER THAN PUKE
