Back of neck peircing question?!
Question: Im considering a barbell back there and want to know any serious risks associated with it and what its like. I dont want to go overboard with peircings (just got my right ear and lip..one more is good), is that a bit much in your opinion (not that i care, just curious)?

Ok ive been studying piercings for a long time and I am currently taking courses to get my piercing license. Ok the risks are if infection gets really bad and im talking like REALLY REALLY bad then it can get into your nerves and you will have very sharp pains up and down your spine and in the neck area. But normal infection wont do anything but irritate the skin. Also to clean it make sure you do it in the bathtub during a rinse or shower. Its best to use what they give you dont use peroxide i cant stress this enough! It can make it migrate. (Thats where the skin rejects it and it pushes the piercing out). Also Dont use rubbing alcohol. It may feel like its cleaning it but its to close to major nerves and there can be fatal side effects. Use what they give you (Most commonly a gel or cream) Also make sure its not a straight barbel (Like a tounge ring) you will want a curved barbell (Like the ones you put in your eyebrow or bellybutton)
