crushing a pill and snorting it increases the danger of overdose exponetially...when you swallow a pill it has to make its way to your stomach where the acids break it down..it is then slowly absorbed into your bloodstream through your stomach lining...when you snort it however it has already been broken down and it is absorbed almost instantly through your nasal passages...even a small dose can be lethal when snorted or injected due to the rapid absorbsion...also look on the bottle..it says "swallow whole. do not crush, bite, or disolve" this should tell you something...be safe mate...its not worth it...i was addicted to vicodin for 6 of my 22 years..i overdosed 4 times while snorting...if you are going to be irresponible and experiment with dangerous drugs at least know what you are doing...great question and i hope this answer helped..hopefully you decide not to do it... and hopefully this question will help others gain knowledge of the dangers of this practice! BE SAFE AND SMART!

Side effects for Vicodin include an allergic reaction, seizures, clammy skin, severe weakness, dizziness, hyperventilation, unconsciousness, yellowing of eyes or skin, unusual fatigue, bleeding, bruising, constipation, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite, muscle twitches, sweating, hot flashes, itching, tinnitus, hearing loss, decreased urination, and decreased sex drive.Vicodin (in terms of hydrocodone) also has depressant effects on the central nervous system. However, some of the less mundane effects can be desirable effects that are sought after by some. Those effects include euphoria and drowsiness, as well as slowing of the pulse.Vicodin may also be a cause of stomach ulcers, although this is assumed to be due to the addition of other non-narcotic analgesics to hydrocodone preparations (e.g., paracetamol, aspirin, and ibuprofen).

well..its for obvious reasons not a good idea. no, it probably won't kill you. the difference between taking a pill and snorting is the time it takes to spread through your blood stream. (I'm talking about normal pills, not extended release). So while snorting it /does/ shock your system a little bit more that taking it orally, it probably won't kill you. But I would not recommend snorting anything other than things intended to be snorted, especially Vicodin or Percocet as they both contain APAP (tylenol) which burns like hell and will **** up your lungs/liver. My suggestion is to not take it at all but if you must you should break it up and drink with water and it will roughly enter your blood stream at the same pace as snorting it. :D Be safe.

I might.

i think its best to just take it like a normal human being.

anything up the nose is bad stuff.

Whats' wrong with just swallowing it?

If you snort too hard it might go accidentally into your lungs and then you'll die coughing.

If you are looking for a thrill - why don't you take up a sport?

There is a difference, yes it in a sense shocks you at once. Yes you can die from it. Look up snorting narcotics and read about it. Thats not even everything. It will cause a lot of probs in general as lortab opiates will. It is better to never start. Snorting is an addiction all its own. Trust me I know, id rather snort than swallow but ive been clean for a long time, the addiction is still there. A long time is a about 3 years or so.

are you thinking about doing it? if so, man go to school and work on being intelligent.

if you snort anything, be prepared to be very very screwed up.
