Enema question?? please help!?!
Question: I'm 15 and i have fecal impaction in my colon, so i have to give myself an enema. I want to know what to do! I'm scared. Will it hurt? How can I mess up? what do I use, and will it relieve me? (i realllllly can't poop, at all, will the enema help? will i have to do it more than once?)
My dad has done it and he said it doesn't hurt but i don't know if i trust him, lol. He doesn't want to take me to the doctor, but I'm scared and I don't know what to do, and I'm guessing I have to do it.

The only thing that hurts about taking an enema, is your pride. Enemas are not painful at all, I have had many, and the work very well.

I would take some Magnesium citrate. If you are that scared of an enema. Its like a dollar at any drug store .. its red or green - it tastes like a sweet and sour sprite. I would take half the bottle. It will take effect within a few hours. It is used to clean ya out for tests like colonoscopys and some people use it ever 6 months for a good cleanse
If you need an enema the only thing that can hurt is when you insert the end of the enema appliance unless you are careful. There may be better ways now, because I am describing the 1940's methods.
More recently my GP recommended the use of Granacol, or Normacol, use this daily and you will have no more worries.
