ok ,i dont know if this will help all of you people,anyway my wife suffered the same as you since was very young, once in conversation with someone we were talking about it,& he mentioned his wife had same untill she happended to go to a chiropathic for something else ,transpired she never had it since.so i eventually talked my wife into giveing it a try found a good of long standing ,after 4 visits she never suffered from it again,she had 2 vertabre slightly out of line and every now & then the nerve would touch these thereby setting of the migraine he set them back in place & as i said she never had it again ,now it might not work for all of you ,but its worth a try to get rid of it.

Migraine?? try to massage in between you eyes, just above the nose & below your forehead. Works for me, may be for you too:)

stress, alcohol, fatigue, crying, all used to spark mine

now i find im sick with meds too , so i cant use them .. i use tiger balm onmy temples and jaw hinges

I get pretty much the same, im always sick with them too. my doc told me to cut out coffee coke chocolate and cheese then introduce them one by one to see which triggered it but in the end it was just stress

Nausea, dull & sharp pain in my head, dizziness, light/sound/smell sensitivity.
Stressful situations, tension, unbalanced diet & glade carpet powder tend to trigger my migraines.
It took me a full year to figure out the carpet powder did it mind, so check what chemical products you use as you may be sensitive to them.

I only ever had two migraines and they came upon me so quickly - most "migraine" sufferers don't have a clue what it really feels like.

I felt fine, i had a lot of coursework going on at the time, and i had them both within the space of a week.

I was sat on the bus to school, reading the free paper and i seriously just went blind - all i could see was grey dots... i just about made it to school and found a mate and told her i couldn't see.

I had to lie down and i fell asleep instantly - maybe passed out i dunno... and then for the rest of the day every time i woke up a vomitted - about 15 times in total before i felll aasleep and didn't wake up until the next day.

And felt great! :)

Maybe i just needed sleep? I really don't know.

The second happened pretty much the same but started later int he day during school.

Never had one since and that was about 8 years ago now.

Yes! I suffer from migraines too, and unfortunetly no pain or prescription medications have any effect on me. I have had them for 9 years now and after a CT scan, MRI and blood testing there is still no known cause! I have constant headaches, pretty much 24/7. Along with my headaches (which about once or twice a year turn into migraines), I get dizzy, nauseus, sometimes distressed and sometimes sensitive to light. Sometimes there is no way to pinpoint a specific cause for migraine sufferers, but try to avoid the factors that may lead to more severe pain, such as caffeine and lack of excersize/eating healthy. It's a terrible condition to have and I wish you all the best in finding a cure for yours!

bright lights loud noise the need for glasses to much reading eating the wrong food stuffs ,(know what they are very important )chocolate cheese, eating to late the night before as getting a pain now could be triggered from something even a few days back and if you can sense your eyes going ie losing vision ,immediately take a couple of pain killers and lay down in a dark peaceful room otherwise check with your docs i did and got enough help to keep me going at the worst of times goodluck

been getting them since i was little :[
they're terrible...but if you get horrible symptoms then go to your doctors and get a catscan or something of the sort
they can perscribe you a migraine medicine to help you through your headache sife effects!

i get really dizzy to the point i can't look at lights
honestly, it's weird..but taking a hot shower helps a lot!
and of course relaxation

sometimes milk products and nitraits in food (hot dogs, cold cuts) and sugary drinks with a lot of food coloring can trigger migrains! so stay away from those types of foods!

Yes I wake up with migraines and they can last up to 5 days. Throbbing thumping temples, nauseous (sometimes sick), sensitivity to heat and light. Can't move really and can't go up or downstairs. Horrible. All that helps me is keeping cold, out of the light and drinking water. Things that seem to trigger mine are stress (mostly) and - for some reason - prawns. A warning I am going to get one is yawning loads the day before.

Hormones are a contributing factor. I used to get terrible migraines in my youth; had to stay in a dark room, flashing colored dreams, vomiting etc. Once I went through puberty at 13 or so they stopped and I haven't had any since. Sometimes birth control pills etc can contribute to the hormonal change that can cause them.

Well, studies show that women get migranes more, and they may be linked with your menstrual cycle, my gynocologist prescribed my medicine. Here are some things that may set off a migrane:

* Strong or unusual odors, bright lights or loud noises
* Changes in weather or altitude
* Being tired, stressed or depressed
* Changes in sleeping patterns
* Certain foods (see the list below), especially those that contain tyramine, sodium nitrate or phenylalanine
* Missing meals or fasting
* Menstrual periods, birth control pills or hormones
* Intense physical activity, including sexual activity
* Smoking

Here are symptoms:

* Intense throbbing or dull aching pain on one side of your head or both sides.
* Nausea or vomiting
* Changes in how you see, including blurred vision or blind spots
* Being bothered by light, noise or odors
* Feeling tired and/or confused
* Stopped-up nose
* Feeling cold or sweaty
* Stiff or tender neck
* Light-headedness
* Tender scalp

I get the throbbing, nausea, spots, light makes my eyes water, noises make my head pound, my nose runs because of my eyes watering, I break into a cold sweat, when I walk it feels like i'm stomping, I cant turn my head, and when I move my hair it feels like im ripping it out.

Migranes arn't fun. And unfortunately, the medicine I got gave me horrible stomach aches. But I get them about once a month...and they always seem to happen when Im ready to have a lot of fun, going to the mall with girlfriends, a date...uhhh. lame.

I get them from time to time..I believe there called silent migraines if you have no pain only the flashing lights..a few things that work for me. lay down in a dark room.. or I drink a MT DEW.. the caffeine seem to sooth the systems in a bout 10 to 15 mins.

a guy i know swore by useing one of them old ladys hair dryers the one you set under LOL..

I had a migraine recently...It was pretty bad. The left half of my body went numb and so did the right half of my face. It was tingly and I was having trouble moving. And I had extremely severe head pain. I went to the hospital (and had to wait four hours!) and they ran a bunch of scans, but I just had a migraine (and I was dehydrated). So now every time I have a migraine, I take medicine at home and then I go to the hospital for IVs.

Magnesium helps in some cases.
