Migrane reoccurances?!

Question: I get migraines A LOT ... usually so severe I'm bed ridden.

I went to a dr they said to get an ekg and i refused.

i have a new dr. do you think i should make an appointment and risk being denied help again?

what could the headaches be from?

I get migraines too, I've had 3 in the last two weeks. People that don't suffer from them have no idea what it's like. To say it's just a headache is like saying the Hindenburg was just a balloon. As to what triggers them, it varies from person to person. Sometimes it's stress, diet, lack of sleep, a flash of light, who knows. Migraines can also be triggered by growths in the brain which is why your doc wanted you to do an EKG. If you're like me and get the visual aura before the pain of the migraine kicks in, get a perscription for Imetrex, preferable the nasal one shot spray. As soon as that aura starts, I do a blast on that and it keeps it to just a headache instead of a crippling problem. Good luck.

are you on birth control? i had migraines when i was on the pill, so severely that i just cried and cried and threw up. sometimes for 2 days at a time. i got off the pill and never had that problem again. if you are not on any birth control, then i think that you should go ahead and do the EKG. also, you could try acupuncture. i knew a lady that had bad migraines and she used acupuncture, and that helped her a whole lot. good luck.

Magnesium helps in some cases.
