Does anyone know what the problem is here?!

Question: I just started taking the pill on Saturday, and now my vagina hurts. It feels as though it's throbbing, it stings when I urinate and it feels as though I need to go to the toilet immediately after I've just been.

Please don't give ridiculous answers.

Many thanks.

From the symptoms, it sounds very much like a urinary tract infection (bladder infection). However, with the recent start of birth control pills, you can't rule that out as a side effect. I would return to your doctor for a urine test to look for infection and ask about possible side effects of the pill.

urine infection?

May be a bladder or kidney infection - if it burns when you urinate, you have lower back pain and/or abdomen pain.
Contact your Dr.

This is not normal. I dont really know what it is, but you should go to the doctor and stop using the pills as this might be a contributor to what is going on with your body.

sounds like you have a urine infection, not generally caused by the pill, but can be caused by intercourse. drink lots of water and i mean lots. and if that don't help go to your GP

classic symptoms of a uti-"urinary tract infection."very common in women of all ages.need antibiotics from ur dr to cure it.the pill is just a coincedence,a uti is caused by bacteria.(improper wiping, irritation from sex,any number of causes.if u are young and never had sex, dont think its an std.its not.women of all ages get this, nuns get it-the female urinary tract is just prone to it.dont be afraid to tell ur mom/ur dr.)

Maybe you have a yeast infection... or maybe and urinary tract infection... or maybe you are having a weird reaction to the pill. If you are getting a chunky like cottage cheese discharge from your vagina, that sounds like a yeast infection. You can get medicine for it at the drug store. If it kindws burns when you pee and the pee has a funny smell to it (one that you are not use to) and the pee seems cloudy... then that sounds like a urinary tract infection and you would need to go to the doctor for treatment but its not serious. I honestly don't think its a reaction to the pill. I think because you just started taking the pill you think the problem is because of it. Your best bet is to just go to the doctor to be sure.

Possibly Thrush, or a UTI oh and best thing to flush a UTI out is cranberry juice

its your own fault

Yep, UTI or maybe cystitis. Go to the doctor!

Sounds like a UTI to me!
