Help! I feel so sick...?!

Question: In advance, sorry for the gross detail.

The main thing is that I'm extremely gaseous. My stomach and my lower abdomen are extremely gurgly when I move, and this is gonna sound strange but sometimes my bum (not like actual gas is coming out, but that too... but like the gurgling noises every now and then).

I'm not constantly going to the bathroom, but when I do have a BM, its somewhat loose and discolored. My stomach has burning sensations every now and then too. I took my temperature yesterday and it was a fever. I also feel very tired and drained.

What could this be?

What should I take? What should I eat? :( I need relief...

I've had burning sensations with diarrhea before and I thought maybe I had IBS, but now this constant gurgling is confusing me.

There ar a number of things that could be wrong - let's start with the most serious:

If your stools are light colored/tan then you may have a liver or gall bladder problem. Requires a physician.

You say you have a fever - that combined with the loose stools, fatigue and gas can be an intestinal infection. fAgain, see a doc.

If this is diet related: to get rid of the gurgling and loose stools stop all foods with yeast or leavening. That means ALL breads, cakes, muffins etc.

Start eating Activia or other NON SUGAR yogurt. Eat a carton morning and evening. Stop all foods that contain sugars i.e. anything ending in -ose (dextrose, sucrose, maltose, fructose etc). No sugar in your drinks - and NO carbonated beverages.

Eat fiber but NOT metamucil. FiberChoice, Benefiber etc are good. Try to get in 22 gms of fiber daily. Eat fruit but stick to apples, bananas, pears, oranges, grapefruit, grapes, and kiwi. Stay away from plums.

Eat vegetables, but not broccolli or beans of any kind (these are gassy)

NO LAXATIVES of ANY KIND

Increase exercise. Walk at least 30 minutes a day. It may take 2 weeks to get your bowels back on track.

I must stress if your symptoms, especially the fever continues and if you have ANY pain of ANY kind SEE A DOCTOR! THE WWW is NOT a substitute for medical care.

it doesnt sound too good..
You should probably get it checked out ASAP!
