Having trouble balancing my life?!

Question: I just started college, I'm trying to start exercising, i trying to find my first car, I work from 1pm-8pm, I'm getting ova long-term depression and don't really have a social life due to work so when I get off I study for an hour and its off to bed so how can I balance my life out? If you figure out how to manage all of this, you should let us all know how you managed cause i'm still trying to figure it out. The only thing that works for me is to keep a weekly schedule, and a long-term schedule where i prioritize things, and include sleep, recreation, and exercise in the schedule as priorities. I keep the schedule and priorities mostly in my head, but occasionally write it out when things get busy or when there are important deadlines and scheduled appointments. Of course the schedule never works out exactly as planned, and flexibility is also important.

In college, i had a mandatory day-off rule where i planned recreation for each weekend, and i think this actually helped more than anything else, because each week I had something to look forward to, which provided motivation to get through the not-so-fun stuff. I also readjusted my expectations for exercise, and instead of trying to achieve the fitness level of a professional athlete, i opted for a routine that maintained cardiovascular health. That meant no more trips to the gym and instead walking to school or work whenever possible.

The most important thing i finally figured out (but still have trouble doing) is to always do the task that is the highest priority, and quit doing things that are not a priority. So, figure out what's important to you. If you prioritize and schedule things effectively, you will hopefully have enough time to make recreation or exercise a priority that fits in. Maybe you'll find out that you simply have too many things you are trying to do, and you may have to drop something to make it all work.

win the the lottery drop out of coladge and move to mexico

time isnt endless. a day has 24 hours, not more. concentrate on whats really inmportant for you. if social life is more important than starting to exercise, then u know what u have to do. start to live a life, not prepare to start it some time later.
