If being bad at reading is an illness (dyslexia) why isn't being bad at math!

Question: Very good question. I would love to have that as an excuse to being so poop at maths. Just the other day my man made me feel so stupid cos I literally have a mental block when it comes to maths! ;o(

So is sh1ting your pants all the time

It is, it's called dyscalculia. BTW, neither of those are considered "illnesses".

Haven't you heard the latest?? Dyslexia is now considered to be an excuse for rich people's children not being intelligent?
I.e.. it could well be a load of bull!!!

Because the PC brigade haven't realised it yet.....
Give it time....

i think i have it and i get numbers mixed up also, it depends on the person.

math*

do some reading
i dont think there is anyone proud of being dyslexic
they still have to overcome their troubles

stop posting stupid question and do the freaking math.

Actually, there are specific math handicaps. Collectively, they are called discalculia.

That is an excellent question. Often people who are bad at math are excellent with the written or spoken word. It is like one side of the brain is MUCH bigger than the other! Maybe we should call it mathexia. Math mystifies me. For example, why would anyone want to add letters? A + B = C. We still don't know what C is.

In conclusion I would just like to point out that Pi are round and corn bread are square. Not the other way around.

you have to read to get by in life, it is not as imoportant to be good with maths after all we dont talk in maths, therefor reading problems are a life handicap for socialisation. if you have problems with maths you may be left handed and suffer from brain damage

There is it's called dyscalculia. But dyslexia and dyscalculia aren't illnesses they're learning disabilities.

No such thing as Dyslexia, it's just peoples excuse for being dumb.
