Under-eye bags, caused by allergies?!

Question: I was at my doctors the other week, telling him everything that's wrong with me. I mentioned that I've had dark circles under my eyes my whole life, and no creams or remedies have gotten rid of them. He said something about them being allergies, but then I got sidetracked and forgot to ask about them again. Anyone have any idea what kind of allergy this could be? Or how to get rid of them? I don't remember what exactly he said after I told him - he said shiny something. That's all I remember.

Yes yes yes!!! My daughter, son & I get them from dairy products. Quit all dairy for a month & see if they go away.

Dark circles under your eyes are usually a genetic thing. If your Mother or Father had them then there is a good chance that you will have them. They have great coverup makeup today to totally get rid of the appearance of them. Look online for Dermablend. It is so light and airy but totally covers up any blemishes or dark circles. I hope this helps! I've never heard of allergies being the reason people have dark circles. Seems to me if that was the case, any allergy medication would get rid of dark circles and I've never seen that happen, has anyone else?

Start digging through family photos. Notice anyone else with the same 'problem'? Often dark circles are hereditary. So are crows feet, double chins, wrinkles, baldness, and premature gray hair.

Spend the money on whatever your doctor will try to sell you, if you want. Just don't be surprised if they don't go away.

Then start to learn to love yourself the way you are. That's what all the other family members with dark under-eye areas you found in those photos did.

My mother has them, and I have got them. The more sleep you get every night can reduce the look of them (atleast for me!) but they are almost always there.
