Well really if it was me i would shove a hot dog or something down his mouth and tell him if he wants to be a refrigeerator then thats what he gets. LoL! But thats me.
It sounds like your brother is a little, um...confused??? You should have wrote more information,like does he have a disorder or something? talk to your parents or sleep in a different room at night...

I'd pinch his nose closed and cover his mouth with my hand and then pull my hands away really quick to see if the light really goes out. This may take several times to see if it works.
