Is it safe to re use the new poland spring water bottles?!
Question: i want to know if it is safe to reuse these bottles because i heard on the news that if the bottles are left in the sun or exposed to sunlight for a period of time the plastic particles can be in your water and cause cancer.
i just want to know if it is safe because i want to reuse my bottles but do not want to get sick from it.
so is it alright to reuse the bottles? and for how long?
and if its left in my car, can i go back in a week and use it again?

no, you shouldn't reuse any of those bottles. first of all, it it's left in the car for any amount of time (or even just outside in the sun) you should not drink the water at all. When the plastic heats up, it does release toxins which have been found in breast cancers. yes, they cause cancer.
you also don't want to reuse them for similar reasons. when so much water is passing along the sides, the chemicals can also be released into the water, just as when it heats up. the more you use it, the more friction, the more cancer causing agents.
just buy a reusable bottle and a gallon of poland spring-- it's cheaper anyway!! :)
This is old news, they have recentlly changed the bottles. Unless you leave it out in the baking sun to a point where the plastic melts inside you should be fine.
