How do I stop producing boogars?!

Question: There's this green crap that keeps building up in my nose. The doctor calls it boogars. I find myself sticking my finger up my nostrils and picking that stuff out sometimes. It's become a pain in the a**. You should see the bottom of my desk at work. It is totally caked with this sh*t. Is there anything I can do to forever rid myself of this problem?

Cut out your mucus membranes.

Blow your nose? I get it bad sometimes so i just go to the bathroom to dig it out, blow, and wash miah hands. It starts to poke if i don't. There's not much else you can do about it...maybe there's a medication that moistens your nose and keeps mucus from hardening (boogars). Ask your doc.

As long as you have a nose, you'll have boogers.
These are mucous secretions your nose makes to
capture and hold the things that float into your nose.
It is part of your body's defense against germs,
viruses, dust, pollution, and other stuff that would
otherwise get into your throat and lungs. Without
boogers, you'd be sick.
Your desk sounds totally gross. Try a hankie or a
tissue. Or flick them. But get your finger outa there
at work! Yeccccccch!!!!!!!

particles in the air thats being filtered out by nose hair and combined with body fluids
if you dont want them, you can breathe through your mouth

Are you serious? You wipe your boogers under your desk at work? How old are you? OK seriously, if you have excess mucus which is catching all the stuff you are breathing in (which could be the remains of previous boogers since you feel the need to keep them around), you need to take care of the excess mucus. Take a decongestant - the best one is pseudophedrine. You have to get it from your pharmacist - it is OTC, but it is sold from the pharmacy in most States. Don't take it at bedtime because it tends to keep people up. But it should thin your mucus out, keep your fingers out of your nose and the natural glue off the bottom of your desk.

First of all, stop putting them underneath your desk, that's disgusting! Second, it is just dried up mucous. If you just gently blow your nose throughout the day using a Kleenex, you should take care of that problem. It's a natural process you will just have to learn to deal with. Make sure you are washing your hands everytime you blow your nose. Germs and bacteria being tranported from your hands to your nose and mouth is how you get colds and spread germs to others.
