What is the difference between Abortionists and Dr. Jack Kevorkian?!

Question: Personally... I am pro-life. But that is a different topic allthogether.

I would like to know what the difference between an abortionist, who "rids" women of unwanted pregnancies, and Dr. Kevorkian who assisted people with their own wishes to die?

The argument for the pro-choice folks is "Her body, her choice..."
But what is the difference in an elderly man (or anyone, for that matter) choosing to have his own life terminated, and a woman choosing to end a pregnancy?

Kevorkian spent 8 years in prison for his medically assisted suicides... But why is the same thing not happening every single day with abortionists?

this is a very touchy subject because when you think about it, it doesnt make anysense. From a law view, its easier to justify an abortion because its not a person in the world yet. my opinion is that i side with Dr Kevorkian because he was giving people the ability to die with dignity and not suffer. He was helping people. abortions in my eyes are wrong unless its under special circumstances, such as a women pregnent from rape or in a friends case, having the baby would have killed her.

What is the purpose of your question. Is it simply to torture those who have had abortions because they were raped, suffered incest, or would die in childbirth? Or are you trying to make people feel bad enough to commit suicide rather than face another day. Are you simply insane enough to believe that a person in grave pain should suffer and die a slow death simply to make you happy. You are an insanely cruel person. Thank God you are not normal.

I agree with AA about Dr. Kevorkian. Some people are in so much pain that no amount of medicine will help them find peace. Where I disagree is that abortion is abortion. It's not fair to find all the loopholes and say it's ok in a rape case or incest. It's still terminating a pregnancy either way. I am pro-choice and I feel that every circumstance is different when it comes to the reasons women have abortions. The only logical answer I can think of would be the same answer AA gave you. A fetus is not considered a "person" with rights until the pegnancy has passed a certain time frame therefore it's not the same as helping someone take their own life.

What I can not understand and had me perplexed was that the doctor that performed the abortion that I had was later on television delivering a baby. Can anyone explain that to me?

Abortion is neither right nor wrong. The circumstance and situation that woman or couple is going through determines if it is right for them, not if it is right for society.

abortion is getting rid of a fetus that hasn't even been born yet. and kevorkian is helping people die, that don't want to live. that is the difference.
