Why does your stomach move when you breathe, when the air is in your chest?!

Question: Just been wondering recently.

Answers: Just been wondering recently.

your diaphragm is located below the ribcage. it is the muscle that controls breathing. your lungs aren't muscles. they cannot move on their own. the diaphragm pushes the air out and contracts, allowing air to enter again.

the diaphragm expanding and contracting makes your belly go in and out.

well your diaphram is the muscle between your abdomin and your lungs and that muscle contracting is what moves air out of your lungs

your diaphram, which is located beneath your lungs and above your stomach, expands and contracts so your lungs can take in and exhale air
seriously girl take an anotomy class

'Cuz your lungs are inflating....and your stomach is connected to your chest..sorta...sooo they both move
=] ?
