Scared after highway accident... anyone help me?!

Question: I was driving home with my bf on the highway at around 10:30pm and the car spun out which made us do a complete Uturn on the highway, we were only going around 67mph. We went across four lanes and then hit the wall in the middle of the highway, my side was the one that hit. All the other cars either swerved out of the way or stopped. The car was drivable so we got off the highway...I'm just wondering what the chances of internal bleeding are, I'm a very big hypochondriac... If it happened almost eight hours ago would i still feel fine? If i was internally bleeding four eight hours would there be any signs of it? We also had to walk about a hour after to catch a cab because the wheel was broke on the car.. There was no other serious damage to the car, the air bags didn't even open.. Sorry if this is stupid I just worry alot and too much.. I'm so thankful to be alive Id hate to die from something I don't even know about.

I'm glad you are ok. I think if you're feeling fine right now, you're fine. If you've been bleeding internally for 8 hours, you would know. Or maybe you wouldn't...because you'd be either unconscious or dead right now. Blood carries oxygen to your organs, and if you're still breathing fine right now and able to use a computer, then you have nothing to worry about health-wise because the blood is where it's supposed to be.

If it gives you peace of mind though, you might want to just stop by your doctor just for a check-up. But rest assured, you're likely not bleeding internally.

you aren't stupid. I would maybe call your doctor and just ask them. They might want to see you just to rule it all out, but I honestly think you are fine. I think you would have some symptoms by now. Good luck.

Go for a check up at hospital for peace of mind, though its unlikely there is anything wrong given you haven't experienced any symptoms after eight hours. More than anything it sounds as if you are shook up.
It doesn't sound stupid at all, - all people are understandably shocked after having any sort of accident - so i'm glad to hear you are ok, and that no-one else was hurt.
good luck
p.s. - please check your tyres - tread and pressure.

Internal bleeding is an acute disease, which means you can die if you have internal bleeding immediately if the bleeding is extensive.

in trauma, though, some people feel fine eventhough they have internal bleeding because the adrenaline rush after the shock. however, in your case, 8 hour's a long time, so i think you're fine.

signs of internal bleeding will be abdominal pain, bruising at the abdomen if its extensive, signs of shock like increase in heart rate, dizziness, weakness and increased in breathing rate.

if you're a huge hypochondriac, you can just see the doctor to calm you down. :)

Ok if you are that worried then go see your doctor. How can someone on the internet help you with something like this. Stop stressing, You are fine now. Think rationally and take action. remember just be grateful to be alive and well.

I doubt you have any internal bleeding. If you did, you'd probably know it by now. I know it sounds gross, but when you go to the bathroom, look at your stools. If they're a deep red or a coffee ground consistency, I'd go to the doctor. Otherwise, I think you're okay. Also, if you had internal bleeding as a result from the accident, you probably wouldn't be able to walk an hour afterwards. Hope this helps!

It sounds like you're just shaken up. Internal bleeding is very, very painful and you'd be having problems breathing.

I think your probably fine , if your worried go ahead and get checked out . If you hit on the side of the car that's why the airbags didn't deploy.

You should always go and get checked after an accident, especially when you spin a car at 87mph
I bet you both changed your underpants quickly enough.
