Caffine in green tea help?!

Question: I'm not sure if the green tea I drink has caffine in it or not, I drink "Tetly Sencha"( that's a lighter flavor of the original. All the ingredients say "made from pure green tea" and I have chamomile green tea of the same brand also and it says "made with pure green tea and pure chamomile" So, do you know if it does or not, would it say or something?

Green tea, unless it is decaffeinated, also contains caffeine. Normal green tea itself may contain more caffeine than coffee, but the length of infusion with hot water, and the number of time you use the green tea leaves can greatly reduce your caffeine intake. Experiments have shown that tea after a first 5 minute brew contains 32 mg caffeine. But if the same leaves are then used for a second and then a third five minute brew, the caffeine drops to 12 mg and then 4 mg.

The list of ingredients on the label should tell you.

oh it does

All green tea is caffeinated unless it specifically says "no caffeine"

all teas are good.

no they won't say anything because all teas(from leaves) have caffeinne

I believe it does. All tea should unless it says "herbal" or decaffinated.

Natural caffine isn't the same and is fine. All teas have caffine.

If the box says "Contains no caffeine" or something like that on it, the no, there's no caffeine in it. If it doesn't, there is caffeine in it

It actually has a lot of caffeine

no green tea is natrual so it wont have any caffine in it

All green tea naturally has caffine in it. So unless it says "caffine-free" then it has caffine in it.

Yes it does unless it specifically says "no caffeine" - however the caffeine in tea is different than the caffeine from coffee.

why didn't you close your parentheses?

Well yes, unless it says so.
If you are concerned about the "made with pure green tea" you should purchase organic green teas. You know your getting good quality and they have caffine or caffine-free.

Green tea does have natural caffine, if it doesn't have caffine in it, it would say on the label

yes green tea does have caffene in it, though not as much as regular teas. I happen to drink the Lipton green tea and it gives a relative amount of caffene that is in it compared to other types of teas

Yes, I think that it has some caffeine!
I have a friend who is caffeine phobic....
She will not drink my regular black tea!
So..... I need to know too!

Caffeine is not very good for you, but it helps you stay awake?
