Yes, it would be a slow death, it could take days for your kidneys to close down. Very painfull and irreversible. Unless of course you choke on your own vomit, that could happen too.

Probably not, but you would suffer such bad liver, kidney and possible brain damage that you may never walk, talk or work again. It's harder than you think to OD on pain killers. People who are serious about dying choose the quickest, surest, most lethal option like drinking some arsenic which kills you in seconds.
Some say Napoleon took alot of drugs to try and kill himself, and he threw it all up because the body rejects it. You could become brain dead too, In a coma for life.
