Why do cheap rings turn your fingers green?!
Question: A few of mine do that, and I was just wondering how/why.

It's because they contain copper, which turns green when mixed with chemicals in skin oil.
its from the medal eroding from the ring and going on your finger its kinda like a medal fence rusting
It's mostly got to do with the salt in your sweat that rubs on the rings. It does this weird chemical reaction that leaves this nasty green residue.
also, cheap rings often contain copper as a sort of filler, and copper turns pretty much everything green. the "green effect" is sped up by the moisture on your finger just from daily sweating, hand washing, etc.
fake jewelry usually turns your skin green because it's base is copper, so once the plated layer of the jewelery which in most cases is silver wares off the copper reacts with the iron in our bodies and turns your skin green.
I think it is the nickel content in them that turns
skin green.
