first of all CALM DOWN! you cant help it if you cant keep it down, just go to the appoijntment and tell them the truth! they wont be mad at you its just one of those things. are you in uk? if so then there may be noone manning the phones at this time in the morning so try at 9am and just explain to them that you have an appointment at 2pm etc etc etc.

Unless your bowels are cleared out they won't be able to do the test. That's why they give you the solution to drink. When I had mine done they took photos, and obviously it needs to be clear for them to do that. Goodluck

Edit - Yes I will second Crissie. Try and keep calm. The test isn't that bad but if you are feeling nervous you won't be able to drink the solution to flush your system out. So keep calm xxxxxxxx

They will cancel. Your colon is not clear so they cannot do a colonoscopy. Sorry.

They may arrange for you to come in as an in-patient so that you can take the klean prep under supervision the night before your colonscopy.

They will probably get you to drink the fluid whilst there and maybe give you something to keep it down. Either that try and reschedule for later on

Call your doctor in the am. He/She may not want you to have the test if the prep was not completed. There may be to much bowel in your intestines for the colonoscopy to be accurate. If you are going to have this test, you want the results to be accurate.

I had a colonoscopy done last year and I did the same as you by throwing it all up. They postponed it but when they gave me it again they gave me an anti sickness medicine and It was OK. Try not to worry.

Why don't you want them to cancel it? Who cares? This isn't worth worrying about. Although it is a little worrying that nobody answers the phone when you try to call the hospital.

You will have to tell them as they won't do the colonoscopy without the bowels being emptied. It's not a pleasant thing to have to swallow all that klean prep. I know, I've done it twice, and it's very hard to keep down.
The nurse gave me a great tip, the second time around. Put some grenadine sirop in with the solution, it makes it a little more palatable. Don't try to drink too much at once, as this WILL make you gag if you are so inclined. Take two sips each time, it will take longer to drink it all but it will stay down. Good luck.

the best thing to do is keep your appointment, they may be able to give you an alternative to last nights drink, good luck.x

u need to tell them so they can change it if required, they wont be able t o do the test if the bowel is not clean and if u havent been to the toilet several times its unlikely, although if u havent been eating much last few days then it may be ok, u do really need to check with them tho. tell them that u couldnt keep it down, they may be able to give u something else to take, unfortunately none of them are very nice. its unlikely that anyone will be available much before 9am so try ringing then. good luck

Right okay.

I have had a colonoscopy last year and i know the bowel prep drink is awful BUT essential as it flushes and cleans out your bowel. Thus the bowel has to be empty and free of faeces. This has to be done in order for the consultant doing the colonoscopy to have a clear view of all your colon and bowel.
IF you have not been to the toilet then you will not be able to have the colonoscopy. You must keep ringing to inform them of the fact you could not keep the solution down and that you have not had a bowel action. This is rare.
I had 3 sachets to drink over an 11 hour period and even the first one made me rush to the loo within an hour. From that moment on I had probably about 15 bowel actions which eventually were just plain watery.

Not sure why you could not keep the solution down but you must inform the hospital.

Dont worry- I had same problem- it will be over in 5 minutes. Relax, the doctor and nurse will know that you are nervous and they will make it as comfortable as possible.
