Has anyone ever been on Fluoxetine and experienced side effects?!

Question: If you are experiencing any kind of side effects you should contact your GP, if you have just started taking the medication it might be your body just getting used to it.
My brother had dizzy spells in the beginning but disappeared after a couple of months.

Yes I have been on this drug now for 2 years, 250mg a day which started out as 100mg a day...I do experience dizzy spells and sometimes weakness and headaches, but in comparison to the awful depression I had (after my dad died and I was diagnosed with cancer) this drug has saved me from an awful alternative...keep on with it, its a very good drug but you will need monitoring with the doctor to check for blood pressure etc.

I've been on Fluroxetine several times and have never experienced any side effects whatsoever!

However, you need to be aware that there is the potential for some very serious side effects, including suicidal thoughts, so that you and your family can spot them if they occur. Please take a look at the link below regarding side effects!

Also if you have just started this drug or are about to go on it the most important thing is to be patient - it takes 4 weeks to start working, and even then you might not notice the difference yourself. I never did but friends and family noticed a great improvement.

You take care now!

This is the fancy name for prozac right? Common side affects are nausea, libido loss, impotence, suicidal thoghts, insomnia etc etc.
I would reccomend that only take this if it is really a last resort as you can also get withdrawal symptoms from it.
Beleive me i was prescribed it a few years ago but i personally stopped it as i felt i was getting worse!
If you are depressed already why would you need suicidal thought and panic attacks???? Try to work what it is that is making you depressed and make small steps to regaining your mind back!

Hope everything is better and remmeber you wont get better overnight!
