Why do people yawn?!

Question: seriously, what does it do for u?

Answers: seriously, what does it do for u?

Yawning occurs when your brain is not getting enough oxygen. The yawn draws in the air, making it happy. We are all used to yawning when we are tired and this one also has to do with getting oxygen. Deep breathing will help calm down the yawning.

BOREDOM

I looked this up. People yawn when their body is going from sleeping to waking or vice versa. It is a primitive response. When a person yawns, it makes others around him that see him yawn also yawn.

It goes back to cavemen days. When it was time to go to sleep, a few of the cavemen were yawning, this caused others to yawn and they then had the perception that it was time to sleep.

Yawning can also occur when withdrawing from narcotic opiates.
