Is it dangerous to have inhaled a leveling compound?!

Question: At work today there was a bag of leveling compound that was split and placed into a trolley pouring its contents onto the floor. I tried to put it into a bag but was unable to get the leveridge to lift it without making more mess. A customer offered to help me and we managed it but as we were lowering it to the ground he dropped it and although I held my breath as soon as I could I still inhaled alot of the dust.

I am now concerned that it may have a negative effect on my health.

What do you think?

Fortunately your exposure was brief. Leveling compound is like cement, meaning it contains silica. Brief exposure is tolerable, unless you have asthma or other breathing problems. You would notice a problem immediately in that case.

You will not suffer long-term from your exposure.
