Weird personal Piercing Question....?!

Question: Okay so i got my labret pierced a few hours ago, my husband is coming home on R&R tomorrow from Afghanistan. I just realized the piercer didnt say anything about how long to wait to kiss or have oral sex. I dont want to be nasty or anything, but how long untill i can do these things, what if i rinse with mouthwash right after, will I be okay?

Yes you will probably be fine. You can kiss and perform other activities as long as you are sure your hubby doesn't have any germs that you would be at risk of catching through a break in your skin. So if he's clear of STD's you should be safe. I do suggest avoiding any oral contact with semen since it could irritate your piercing.

Be careful with your piercing though as kissing and other vigorous oral activities can put a lot of wear and tear on a new piercing. Don't perform to the point that you become sore in order to avoid injuring yourself and causing problems.

Do rinse your mouth AND clean the outside of the piercing after you're finished just to stay tidy.

take it out if you aren't sure if he is just coming home. he won't be too happy if there are complications that are going to hold things up.

Can't just take it out, you'll still have the hole which will close up. Two weeks to be safe... kissing maybe sooner. If it burns/feels hot then it's infected... not good.

most places that I have been to say to wait at least a week or so, they said that about when i got my tounge pierced but i did not wait and nothing happend to me.

If he was just deployed in Afghanistan I can guarantee you he's gonna want sex. Re-pierce it later if you want but give that man whatever he wants for God's sake. He's been risking his life for all of us!
