Why do some people's farts smell so bad?!

Question: The odor of
farts comes from small amounts of hydrogen sulfide gas and mercaptans in
the mixture. These compounds contain sulfur. Nitrogen-rich compounds such
as skatole and indole also add to the stench of farts. The more sulfur-rich
your diet, the more sulfides and mercaptans will be produced by the bacteria
in your guts, and the more your farts will stink. Foods such as cauliflower,
eggs and meat are notorious for producing smelly farts, whereas beans produce
large amounts of not particularly stinky farts.

lol ru serious?its what you eat as to how much gas and how it smells,my got that prob my **** dosent stink but my farts give me away lol

Hahahahahaha. Funny but such a good question! It's their diet. Some kind of food just release some gas after digestion.

It is because it goes through a part of intestine that contains sulpher. Sulpher smells bad. Some people have more sulfer than others.

it is due to chemical reactions of food taken that will turn into gas called carbon dioxide.

Every body's does! Not just some people! Think of "where" it's coming from! That's why! I think if you have to poo, the smell is worse though. Cause all that air is flying over all that and out. Ya, I've had to much time to think of this. My husband is a fart expert. So, I deal with farts daily. The only time I get really mad is when I'm eating and he farts! The only thing I can't figure out is, why do they smell sooooooooooo much worse in the shower?

Yep...it has to do with the amount of sulphur present in the gas. There are a number of different gases (including methane) that can be present in your bowel gas but its the sulphurous gases that really bring out those flavours

I agree with Shari, but I think my husband is the noxious emissions champion. It's a man thing, he gasses out and I automatically say, pig. Being trapped in the car is the worst though.
