How do I make myself EXTREMLY TIRED!!!!!?!


Question: I am going on a road trip and I have an EXTREMELY HARD TIME SLEEPING whn I am doing so! and So I need some ways NATURALLY to make myself VERY VERY TIRED!! I know it is odd but PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Exercise is always the best medicine when it comes to insomnia. Start a high-intensity exercise routine and you will sleep like a baby (and be healthier to boot!).

You can also try eating foods that have high levels of tryptophan, such as turkey (ever notice how everyone feels sleepy after a big Thanksgiving dinner?).

Melatonin will also work (and is natural), but the dosage varies widely from person to person, because everyone's endogenous level of melatonin is different. I would recommend starting with one-half of a 1 mg dose.

There are the standards- hot soak an hour before, peppermint tea, warm milk- that you can probably do with no trip to the store.

If you want something with a bit more 'oomph', go to the pharmacy and get a melatonin supplement. Melatonin is what your body naturally releases as you fall asleep, and if you take ONE PILL OR HALF A PILL and lay down in a dark room with no noise, you WILL fall asleep. Be careful about dosage until you know how they will affect you- a full pill makes me logey the next day.
