Why does aging make us look more beat up, disheveled, washed up, tired and fatte!

Question: It seems like every year we age, after a certain age like 25-30, if we're not being completely controlling and vain, age will make us look more beat up, especially upon waking up, disheveled, washed up, tired, and fatter than we were at lets say 18. I don't get it.

Why must aging be so difficult on our bodies and faces? Also hair, on men.

We go from being cute and adorable, or at least young and "invincible" people,

to possibly having health issues, mind issues, physically looking alot worse.

Why does everything fall apart?

I understand that aging is natural and that we all die obviously,

but why can't we age very gracefully and still be good looking and physically okay at 70-80 instead of a shriveled up decrepid person?

I mean some people age great, but they usually have TONS of money.

Is that what we're going to do to age great?

Spend tons of money for maintenance? Otherwise we go to the crapper?

Even at 30 some people just fall apart.

Aging after a particular age is really hard for most people. We do it at different ages, for sure. I think that today's person who is aging is lots worse off than earlier persons. I think that, because now days have us finding fault where we didn't even realize it WAS a fault, before. We are constantly being deluged with commercials showing us how we should look, when we thought we were doing o.k.. The look of the gentle grandma is just 'out' these days. Grandma better have a 6 pack, luminere's teeth, constant facials, and be running in the nearby marathon! (forget the glasses, too! Grandma better have lazic surgery on her eyes, to keep up!). Poor grandma.

yes, and maybe in some people's opinion you do look ok. Excersizing helps a lot, and it also depends partially on genetics.
BTW-you asked more than one question...0_o

I've learned to embrace it.

I have always looked young but now I have wrinkles and dark rings under my eyes and my face is starting to sag. 30 year olds are still young. I was still being carded for beer back then. Enjoy it while it lasts bro!

You are not a kid but you still ARE NOT old.

I have vastly decreased my drinking only to look better and it works like a charm. Buys a little time. Booze is poison for us old farts.

I am almost 41. Do I look it? Are the vitamins working yet? Huh?

It doesn't have to be like that, not at all!!! All ya have to do is take good care of yourself with all the usual things you hear about...scheduling and prioritizing time so that there's enough in the day to cook healthier foods rather than get fatty fat junk food all the time because it's quick, and exercise of course. I mean, at least take a 30 minute walk or bike ride a day or every other day. Only 30 minutes out of the day, half an hour! Certain vitamins or shakes don't hurt bein in the mix either. Some people have told me before that sometimes they're too lazy or tired to brush their teeth. Not avoiding a two-minute or so teeth brushing helps in keeping them in your mouth right? :) The best part about all that is...IT DOESN'T REQUIRE TONS OF MONEY!!! Sometimes it actually SAVES $money$ because buying fresh ingredients and cooking a few different types of meals can last all week for a family of 3 or 4! That's how my mom does stuff and she's not looking a day over 40 (except for the gray hair...) and she's 50. Sorry, that was really really long :/ But anyway, have a good one!

It's just the gradual breakdown of the tissue. Don't focus on this but on the richness of life- whatever you enjoy.

Worrying about this is just more time wasted. And we only have a limited amount of that in our lives. So, make the best of it.
